Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc., a leading provider of fabricated structural steel to the Mid-Atlantic, today announced the formation of Crystal Metalworks, a new business division that will provide fabricated Miscellaneous Metals.
"Crystal Metalworks will be staffed by many of the skilled craftsmen who worked at Fairhill Fabricators, Inc., a Miscellaneous Metals shop that has been serving the Mid-Atlantic region for nearly 20 years," said Bill Lo, President of Crystal Steel.
The move gives Crystal Steel a complete solution for the Division 5 -- Steel Products segment of construction projects, providing both structural steel, the basic frame of buildings, as well as Miscellaneous Metals, the stairs, guardrails, handrails, elevator frames and ornamental items.
"Defining the scope between Structural and Miscellaneous Metals is difficult clients hate having to mediate disputes between sub-contractors, so being able to bid the full package and give the client comfort that he will only have to deal with one sub for any steel is a great relief for them and a great advantage for us," said Mike Smith, President of Crystal Metalworks.
"Our first order of business is to get the financial house in order for Crystal Metalworks," said Lo, "once we have achieved that we will be positioned to grow our entire business by leveraging sales opportunities across the structural and miscellaneous divisions."
Crystal Metalworks will be headquartered in Hatfield, PA north of Philadelphia.
