Delmar, DE - Crystal Steel Fabricators Phils, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc. has expanded its offshore engineering operations to 80 detailers.
"With 55 StruCAD licenses and 18 Tekla Structures (X-Steel) licenses, we are one of the largest detailing operations serving the US market," said Bill Lo, President of Crystal Steel.
Crystal Steel Fabricators Phils opened its doors in 2004 and has grown organically to serve many of the back office needs of Crystal Steel Fabricators and Crystal Metalworks including: Structural, Ornamental and Miscellaneous Metals detailing, steel purchasing, inventory management, and estimating.
"Opening the Philippine design center has enabled us to hire and retain a large, highly skilled workforce that we found virtually impossible to assemble in one place in the US. All of our detailers are architects or engineers, so their insights into construction and design are exceptional," said Bill Lo.
The scale of the Philippine operation has helped Crystal Steel to significantly reduce turnaround time while simultaneously improving the quality of its products.
