Miscellaneous Metals Detailing Supervisor – Manila, Philippines

Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for the supervision of Miscellaneous and Ornamental Metals detailing projects taken on by Crystal Steel Fabricators Philippines (CSFP).

 The supervisor’s duties:

  • Oversee specified miscellaneous projects.
  • Schedule detailing workforce to meet project deadlines.
  • Review scope of work, estimate, schedule and other “As Sold” sales documents for all new projects and discuss with production teams prior to detailing.
  • Develop project based lead sheets and standard details for new projects and discuss with production team prior to detailing.
  • Attend Project Kick-Off meetings and other meetings as required internally and by the U.S.
  • Supervise the issuance of Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Attend to daily queries from Manila Project Managers (PM) on all project-related issues.
  • Monitor daily emails and identify potential project issues that should be discussed with the production teams. Prepare topics for the weekly PM meeting.
  • Keep open communication with U.S. Project Managers on all project issues to ensure all schedule requirements are met and U.S. instructions are implemented (must be available for a window of time during U.S. operation).
  • Works with the office drawing quality control. Reviews the shop drawing details especially the critical items prior to releasing them for fabrication.
  • Ensure that shop drawings comply with Crystal Metalworks (CMW) design standards as well as the relevant building codes.
  • Must review critical emails from Manila PM to U.S. PM prior to sending.
  • Resolve problematic details with the PMs prior to submitting the drawings
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by the President of CMW.



  • Knows U.S. standards and has worked on miscellaneous metals projects in the U.S.
  • 2-3 years of experience detailing stairs and railings or managing miscellaneous metals projects with a deep knowledge of details.
  • 2D CAD experience
  • 3D modeling experience is a plus.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
