McLean, VA - Dulles Transit Partners (DTP), a joint venture of Bechtel Infrastructure and URS formed to design and build the Metro line from Rosslyn, VA to Dulles International Airport, selected Crystal Steel to be its featured DBE for the month of April.

Crystal Steel is providing structural steel for Metro station mezzanines at five new stations being constructed along to the line to Dulles.

"It is an honor to be selected to work on such a high-profile job. There has been a lot of debate throughout the National Capitol Region about the Dulles Metro line and once it is built, millions of people will pass through these stations annually," said Bill Lo, President of Crystal Steel.

Mike Belcher, Crystal Steel's project manager on this job said that "while the steel fabrication is not particularly complex relative to some jobs we do, the number of people and organizations depending on the project to run on time and on budget makes our close coordination with DTP especially critical."

The Dulles Extension stations will be built throughout 2010 and 2011.
